UAVTrak from Motion Analysis provides the capability to track and control an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) within a motion capture environment. The software reads in position and orientation (pose) information of the quadrotor or other robot from the Cortex software and then computes control commands for the quadrotor based on a pre-defined trajectory that the user selects. A graphical output demonstrates the desired trajectory and the actual trajectory followed by the quadrotor.
The chart below shows the software GUI that appears when everything is working correctly. The blue lines are desired points, the red are the actual points. The top row show the North, East, and Down positions, the bottom three show the Z-X-Y Euler angles: roll, pitch, and yaw. UAVTrak is a precise drone guidance system. Validation of precise flight plans and real-time drone pilot training are other possible uses
